I've been a fool and I've been blind

Gushing alert.

Can someone please explain why no one ever told me about Florence and the Machine?  It took an extremely intriguing SNL performance for me to notice this girl and her band (read: creepiest vibrato of anyone alive, coolest dress ever).  I am extremely embarrassed that I have never listened to them before and am now full-on obsessed.  Lately Mike has been on this [kind of annoying] kick for "new music" where he keeps asking everyone what they listen to because he's apparently gotten bored with the several thousand songs on his computer.  Now I understand his quest; there's nothing like finding an album you can really sink your teeth into and I have sunk right in to both Lungs and Ceremonials.  Here are the simple yet abundant reasons why: red hair, prominent use of harp, aforementioned creepy vibrato, brilliant lyrics, and killer stage presence.  Also thoroughly enjoyed: smattering of super haunting melodies/vocals with white-girl dance-y beats! (See below - I am probably the last person on earth to have noticed how awesome "Dog Days" is!)

Upon further inspection I realized that she has even been on SNL before and I still had failed to jump on the bandwagon.  I even remember watching the episode, but I must have tuned out during the musical performance.  Shame on me for my ignorance and shame on you for not telling me about this fiery haired goddess.
